Welcome to Thailand Sugar Palms

        Sugar palm is a member of the family Arecaceae and consists of several species. The abundant of sap exudation from their peduncle, when it was sliced off, is the dominant character of them. Moreover, it is an economically important plants producing sugar native to tropical zone. In Thailand, some of sugar palm was used to produce sugar. The popular palm producing sugar is Borassus flabellifer and Cocos nucifera. Furthermore, the two spices which mostly manage in the southern part of Thailand are Arenga pinnata and Nypa fruticans.
